Step 1: Set Up Your Excel Sheet
Open Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets).
In Row 1, create column headers:Date, Income Source, Income Amount Expense Category, Expense Amount Savings Amount
Tip: Use bold formatting to make headers stand out.
Step 2: Enter Your Financial Data
Income Source: Record all money coming in (salary, side hustle, passive income).
Income Amount: How much you received.
Expense Category: Categorize expenses (rent, food, transport, entertainment, etc.).
Expense Amount: Record how much you spent.
Savings Amount: Track the portion of your income you’re saving.
Step 3: Automate Calculations with Formulas
To make tracking easier, use these simple Excel formulas:
✅ Total Income:=SUM(C2:C100)
✅ Total Expenses:=SUM(E2:E100)
✅ Total Savings:=SUM(F2:F100)
✅ Balance after Expenses & Savings:Copy code=C2 – (E2 + F2)
Copy these formulas down the column to track your balance automatically!

At the bottom of your sheet, create a summary table:Category Total Amount
